During all of this baby excitement I just wanted to catch up a little bit on the other "non-Riggs" things going on!! This Spring and Summer have been full of weddings, showers, and births!
In March, I helped host a wedding shower for my cousin Kristin and baby shower for one of my best friends Britney and her precious litte Gray! These showers were such a fun way to celebrate the exciting times in their lives. We also attended a wedding in Auburn of one of my classmates in the Au.D. program, Charles. The wedding was beautiful and it was SO wonderful to catch up with all of my classmates. We are all spread out across the country, so it was great to get to see everyone!
In April, we celebrated the soon to be arrival of Eloise... she is the sweet little baby girl of my co-worker/partner in crime Beth. It has been SO wonderful to have another preggo right around me, so I never have to look anything up... I just text Britney or ask Beth! They have both met their sweet baby girls now, and its makes me so eager to meet my little guy!!
In May, we went to Kristin and Rick's wedding and also got to meet Baby Gray!! The wedding was beautiful, and so much fun! Gray is absolutely adorable, and I am dying to see her again soon! We also celebrated Mother's Day and my Mom's birthday. My sweet brother got me "mommy to be" flowers for Mother's Day and Jared made me the SWEETEST card from he and Riggs. He loves to act like Mr. Tough Guy... but underneath he is one of the most thoughtful people I know! We also celebrated Memorial Day in Mobile and a lake here in Montgomery! We had friends over to swim and cook out at my parents house (thanks to Dad for the grilling) and it was SO MUCH FUN... then we went to Justin and Jordan's parents lake house Monday afternoon! We hung out in the water and went on an afternoon boat ride with Justin, Jordan, Hunter and Tara! We had a blast!!

That brings us to June! What a busy month!! The first weekend in June we celebrated Ms. Ginger's retirement with a boat ride on the Harriett II and dinner at Charles Anthonys. It was a really fun afternoon! The next weekend we celebrated my 28th birthday a little early with a beach trip! Unfortunately it MONSOONED the entire time, but I must say Jared and I had a ton of fun even thought it was raining! We shopped, ate, and played mini-golf... he dominated in the game, but I guess it's ok! Jared also got me a camera for my birthday!!! It's awesome!! Most of the pictures from now on will be taken with it! It's a Nikon D-5100 and love it! I can't wait to document all of Riggs' and our families milestones with it! We spent the next weekend in Troy! We went to a crawfish boil hosted by one of Jared's high school friends and spent the next day (Father's Day) hanging out with Jared's family! The crawfish boil and family time were both so much fun! I enjoy spending time with Jared's friends and our family! Even though I have no pictures of her... yet.... Eloise made her debut on June 19! I went to visit Mom and baby in hospital and they were doing well! Eloise is beautiful and I can't wait to go see her again!! Lastly we spent last weekend in Orange Beach with my mom's side of the family. Every year we have a Stokes Family Reunion! We missed it last year, so I was really glad to get to spend some time down there this year!

One little Riggs/Mommy update.... =) I am in my third trimester now!!! I have started to get a little more fatigued again, but overall still feel great! Heartburn has set in... BIG TIME! I love my tums!! I have had very little swelling thus far, and hope to keep that under control. I have also avoided the horrid stretchmarks so far!!! I am just waiting to wake up one morning and see them!! Still no cravings.. just love to eat! =)
I went in on June 15 for my glucose test and a check up. They started measuring my fundal height at my last appointment, and will do that up until I deliver! We also get to hear his heartbeat everytime too! Dr. Griggs told me I would hear from their office if I failed... but guess what..... I PASSED!! I was really not looking forward to the long test if I failed!!
I just had my first two week appointment yesterday, June 27. Everything is looking great! I will continue my two week appointments until 36 weeks rolls around! I can't belive I will be 31 weeks tomorrow! Time has flown by in this last trimester!
That actually brings us to current day! I have two baby showers this weekend, and I can't wait!! I am so excited!!! Will be posting about them soon I'm sure!!
One of my BFFs also FINALLY graduated from college in May ...:.. I guess that cute niece of ours is way more important though - I could eat her up!!!
