Riggs Cleveland Kelly

I just wanted to write a short post about our sweet little guys name! I always knew I wanted to use family names for our children. We had already been discussing names before we found out he was a boy! We had the girl name all picked out... Mollie Isabelle Kelly! Mollie was Jared's maternal grandmother's name and Isabelle was my maternal grandmother's name. So... if Kelly Baby #2 is a girl... it is already set!!
The boy name was a little more difficult. After contemplating several, we decided we really liked Riggs. The name was my maternal grandmother's maiden name. So... Riggs Kelly it was!! We had that down from the day we found out he was a boy! The middle name was another story! We wanted to use something from Jared's side of the family, but just couldn't decide what.
You know how people say...go with your gut???... that's what ended up happening. From the very beginning I said I would like to use Cleveland as a middle name for a boy. It is Jared's Dad and paternal grandfather's middle name. I don't know why it took so long to go back to what we originally talked about! A name is just so very permanent, so we wanted to make sure we were happy with it before we put it out there.
I absolutely LOVE his name, and from all the advice I have received from other recent mommies to be... all that matters is that Mommy and Daddy love it... and we do!  =)
