Gender Reveal!!

The second trimester was also a breeze for me!! I eventually got some of my energy back and started back to Zumba with Tara and Emily! Thank goodness for gym buddies!! I was still eating ALOT, but atleast I was getting some exercise! Every now and then I would get a touch of nasuea, but it was few and far between! I didn't really have anything I craved... I just wanted anything salty... but that's really nothing new! The 5 weeks before our next appointment went by pretty fast! Spring time always brings lots of things to do!!
The big day was here... we went to the doctor on Wednesday, March 21! We were finally going to know what Baby K was... NOT! We I thought it would be fun to have the "Gender Reveal" Party with family and friends, but in order to do this we had to wait until that Saturday!! I immediately told the ultrasound technician not to tell us what it was, but I gave her a little card to fill out for us that said was Baby K was! The difference in the Baby from Week 7 to Week 16 was amazing!! It was so awesome to see how much it had grown!! We got to hear the heartbeat and see all kinds of body parts... just not the important ones! =) Dr. Griggs said everything was looking great, but that the baby was measuring a little ahead of September 5. He decided to hold off until our next appointment before changing the due date... AGAIN! We scheduled our 20 week appointment, and were off to try to get ready for Saturday!!
Baby K... Week 16.... Due Date September 5, 20120

My hairdresser Megaen  was very helpful in getting the Gender Reveal underway! I brought her the envelope that the ultrasound technician wrote it in, and she called Jared's cousin Amanda to tell her what color to make the cake!! Amanda makes AMAZING cakes... but we couldn't decide if we wanted to have a family member know ahead of time. After much thought, I just knew I wanted one of her cakes!! We had to be VERY sneaky though.... We told everyone (mainly Jared's family) that someone in Montgomery was making the cake! We didn't want anyone pressuring Amanda to tell what it was!!! The day was FINALLY here... luckily I went to Auburn for the day to judge Tiger Paw Tryouts (which was a blast by the way... WAR EAGLE) so my mind was occupied! My parents came up early and Jared, Mom and Dad helped get everything all set up! Once people started to arrive I was getting more eager by the minute! Finally the cake arrived, and once everyone was here it was time to cut the cake!!! Here is the video of the reveal and some pictures from the fun night!! We are so lucky to have such awesome friends and family!!
