2 Months Old!

2 months old today... It's unreal that so much time has already passed! Once again.. Blogging weekly did not happen! Oh well... Maybe one day! ;)
Riggs has turned into such a bubbly little man! He coos and grins and talks up a storm! He is still our little "thinker"! When he isn't asleep or talking he keeps the most inquisitive look on his face. I've come to love that face more and more and often wonder what it is that he is thinking about! It's amazing how fast they grow! Everyone warns "it goes so fast", but you don't truly understand until you are there. I love seeing him do new things, but I know I will miss him being this small!
We have done lots of new things since I posted last! We have taken our first trip to Troy and to Mobile! He did GREAT on the car rides! We didn't have to stop once on the way to Mobile! I pumped a bottle for the car ride and didn't have to climb in the back until we were off the interstate. We went to a wedding shower for Hunter and Tara in Troy and Riggs got to meet Collins! Collins is Amanda and Matthew's little girl! I miss Amanda living here in Montgomery, but am glad when we get to see them! While in Mobile we went to the pumpkin patch! Riggs slept the whole time, but we can show him pictures of his first trip when he gets older! He also got to meet two very special people... Grayson and Eli (Katie and Britney are important too)! I am so happy to have so many close friends with kiddos close in age to Riggs, even if some of them are hours away!
We took Riggs to his first wedding! Tara and Hunter got married in Maplesville, and Jared was in the wedding! Riggs was SO good that night!! The wedding was beautiful and we had a great time! Riggs also got to meet Brantley at the wedding! She is one month older than Riggs, and  it is so nice to be able to have Jordan (Brantleys Mom) to talk to about what the babies are doing! I'm so glad Jared and Justin worked together for a while! It has been so good getting to know them!
Riggs has also gotten to become very good friends with Madelyn! I am SO thankful for her mommy Emily! She provides awesome mommy advice and has become such a great friend! We have been able to spend lots of time with them during the week! Madelyn is 9 months of and LOVES to try to touch Riggs! Jordan and Brantley joined us last week and we had a great time!! They will be playing together before we know it! Our mommy/baby play dates will be SORELY missed when I go back to work... However, we will be scheduling some for Friday afternoons when I get a half day!! 
I spent my first whole day away from Riggs last Friday! Beth and I had to go to Destin for Continuing Education hours! We got up in the wee hours and headed down for the day... Simple you think... Wrong! We packed 3 breast pumps, a cooler of ice, and all of our pumping supplies! We managed to get our hours AND get enough for our sweet bambinos to eat! I enjoyed spending the day with Beth because I hadn't seen her in what seemed like forever! Jared played Mr. Mom for the day and did a fabulous job! Not only did he take care of Riggs all day, but he mopped, vacuumed, and cleaned all of the bottle after using them! I missed my boys, but it was good for me to start weaning away from having Riggs all day! We also took our first trip to church last Sunday! Riggs got to spend the morning with Eloise and Ella Kate! Ella Kate is Ashlei English's little girl! Ashlei and I went to undergrad at Auburn together and reconnected through church! She keeps the nursery, so that kept my mind at ease during te service. She said Riggs did great, and was talking away!! He was SO happy when we got him back from the nursery... This did my heart good!! I have missed church so much, and was glad to get back! Jared and I are SO happy to have found Church of the Highlands! We love the pastor, and feel very at home in the congregation! I look forward to us joining a small group (finally) in the upcoming  semester!

So... CLEARLY my child is not 2 Months Old! I decided it was time to revisit the blog, and in doing so I found my draft of my 2 month post! I have been feeling so very nostalgic the past few days, and wanted to go back and read what I had written when he was a wee little one!

I am now planning to rededicate some time to this blog!! I loved reading the things I wrote when pregnant and when he first got here, and am a little mad at myself for not keeping up! That being said... I have been enjoying life with the hubs and our little bean!!
