HEARTBURN!!!!! I have been eating Tums like candy! This has probably been the most aggravating thing about pregnancy for me! It just plain hurts!! But I am thankful that heartburn is my only worry!!
I have had two doctors appointments since I blogged last! I had one on Monday July 9 and on Monday July 23! I had a little scare at the appointment on Monday July 9! My appointment was for 11:30, but the doctor was running really behind so I didn't get called back until 12:30. Well... we had been busy at work that morning so I didn't get a chance to grab anything to eat before going to the doctor. By the time they called me back I was feeling very lightheaded and even asked the nurse for some crackers or candy or anything to give me a little boost!! My blood pressure was fine and I was measuring right along with 32 weeks, but Riggs' heart rate was a little slow... in the 120s. So.. they had to hook my up to a fetal heart monitor to be sure everything was ok. While I was hooked up I had some peanut butter crackers and water. By the time I was finished his heart rate was up where it should be. The doctor assured me everything looked fine, but me... the biggest worrier alive... was just a little shaken by having something be out of the ordinary! Needless to say my hormones came out in full force and after a mini-meltdown when I got back to work I was fine!! Lesson learned... ALWAYS have something to eat in your purse when you are preggo!!! My second appointment this past Monday went wonderfully! I ate my snack in the waiting room, and I was called back within about 10 minutes! I am measuring right along where I should be, blood pressure looks good, and his heart rate was in the 140s!
My next appointment will be Monday August 6 and this will be the first appointment where Dr. Griggs will check my cervix! I am a little nervous about this, but that means I am SO close!!! After this appointment I will go every week until Riggs plans to make his debut!
